Sat/Net Puerto Peñasco's Community WiFi network

Sat/Net Puerto Peñasco runs a community WiFi network in the Mirador area of Puerto Peñasco, Mexico for use by locals, visitors, vacationers, RV'ers - anybody that wants secure, broadband WiFi access while they are in Puerto Peñasco.

For $15 a week or $35 a month, you too can hop onto this network.

Where to sign up for access

You can sign up for access before you get to Penasco, or when you arrive and hav verified that you can see the network from your location.

Before you come:
You can pre-purchase the WEP key before you make the trip to Peñasco, so you can get connected the minute you open your laptop or park your RV. Click here to prepay for access, , or call our Phoenix number at 602-324-7433.
When you get here:
If you can see the SSID 'Sat/Net Pto Penasco' and would like to connect, call Penasco local number #388-5036. If you are staying at Playa Miramar, you can also contact their office directly.

Coverage: The network spans roughly a mile by half-mile of area. (See the map to the right) Coverage includes such commonly-recognizeable places as:

Hotspots: 5, soon expanding to 6
Bandwidth: 128k/512k (up/down)
Protocols: 802.11 a/b/g
WEP: 64bit WEP key on all hotspots
Network Access and Performance: is monitored and controlled at the router level from the Network Operations Center (NOC)
